Development Operating System

Linux (Gentoo) is the development platform for the web application.

Web Server

Apache is the webserver, and uses a webware module.

Application Server - Programming Environment

Webware is the application server and Cheetah is the template engine, they compliment each other well and of course as both are in Python they can be extended easily.

Database

The database is PostgreSQL, and PL/pgSQL is used as the extending language.

Deployment Operating System

Depolyment is on FreeBSD, a mature unix platform.
